In 2003, the global dance music scene was introduced to two Canadian new comers better known as " Benz & MD", who since then have produced 16 signed compositions, a handful of remixes and has received endless praise from some of the world's top producers and DJ's; including Sasha, John Digweed, Nick Warren, Max Graham, Markus Shaulz, and Chris Fortier to name a few; the duo most certainly have a very promising future ahead for them. Their sound can be described as a fresh, sophisticated blend of deep melodies, twisted grooves and tight arrangements that captivates the listener from start to finish.

The fall of 2004 marked the launch of Aurium Recordings a premier dance label and brainchild of "Benz and MD" which will be home to solid productions from artists such as Bluehaze (aka Mic Burns), The Delikate Imposters, Santiago Nino, JDK, Ozgur Can, etc.: all with the signature Benz and MD sound: deep melodic landscapes coupled with twisted grooves and tight production. Early on Benz' and Md's releases have received International support from DJ's as such Satoshie Tomeii, John Acquaviva, Jerry Bonham, Matthew Dekay, Mick Burns, Shiloh, Starkid, Subsky, Fred Numpf and Brad Copeland.

Originating from London, Ontario, Canada, Greg Benz has over 8 years as a DJ under his belt, Greg has played along side some of the worlds top Dj's such as Max Graham, Richie Hawtin, John Acquaviva, Chris Fortier, Donalde Glaude, and Dave Ralph to name a few. In April of 2003, John Digweed invited Benz to do a guest mix on his esteemed radio program, Kiss FM. The international feedback of Greg' s set that evening positioned Greg Benz as the next generation of up and coming DJ's to watch for.

While Marco DiCarlo's tastes led him to a formal musical training background, his teaching and playing music as a teen helped shape his musical vocabulary. Marco dipped his melodic hands into all types of music from classical, jazz and blues, to soul and hard rock. The guitar was his instrument of choice but after being introduced to the lush and intricate sounds of groups like Underworld, Orbital, and Depeche Mode, Marco soon switched over to synthesizers, samplers and software-based instruments.

With more productions and remixes already in the works for 2005, you can expect a tougher, deeper polished sound from the duo who will continue pushing the sonic envelope to emotionally charge their listeners on and off the dance floor.
