Brian is no stranger to the music industry. There was never
any shortage of bands to join with friends and other talented musicians
out in the suburbs of Long Island, NY. Growing up there, he was
surrounded by local artists and the best and the biggest inspirations
coming through town for one night only. He immersed himself into the
scene, and eventually found himself in a band with 4 of his best
friends and formed Nine Days. Nine Days took them out of Long Island
and into the rest of the country, with nothing stopping them till they
hit Number One on the Top 40 charts in the summer of 2001 with the gold
selling single “ABSOLUTELY-STORY OF A GIRL”, following a gold album.
With new songs written in his bedroom in the middle of upper
Manhattan, Brian looked for a new beginning. What he found was more
than that, and a undeniable passion to write music that evolved around
the things that made him move, and the life around him that moved
without him, in the streets of the city, in the headlines and on that
picture tube we all call TV.Reality TV is Brian’s breakthrough single.
You don’t listen to songs like “Let it Ride” that have an undertone
of retro ness coupled with vocals that sound reminiscent of Bruce
Springsteen and Bob Dylan because he tries to get the girl in his song
naked, but it is because, the pureness of the music that comes through
your speakers are something that is lacking in today's “new music”.
Yet, he can still write the poppy catchy hook that we all hate to love
in songs like “Wonderful”/ Brian takes his lyrics and engulfs you into
his past with songs like “Catch Me If You Can”, a song that takes you
on the road with him. So let BRIAN take your sonically deprived ears
for a tour, of his long and interesting journey to the world that is,
and has been, and will be.
