Hailing from Buenos Aries singer songwriters Isol, Sebastian, and
Gabriel better known as the musical trio of Entre Rios (between rivers)
bring us a collection of cool ethereal down-tempo songs with an
electronic sensibility a la Bjork.
What makes Entre Rios so appealing is Isol's hyper personal vocals
coupled with Sebastian's and Gaberial's down tempo electronic sensibility which
provides the back drop for Isols sweet unaffected moods that reminds
us of Spanish sixties singer Jeanette. But there’s something more in
her mysterious distant timbre that is really distinctive. It’s no use
trying to compare her, better surrender to her
natural charms.
Sebastián and Gabriel first started working together under the moniker
of TUS HERMOSOS and released “Anatomía de la melancolía”. Meanwhile,
Sebastián meet up with Isol and invited her to sing on “Dame”, a song
that would be released as TUS HERMOSOS but would really mean the end of that band and
the
beginning of ENTRE RÍOS. Entre rios is not only highly creative on
their studio album but equally so in their live shows where
they mix together their different songs in a live setting blended with
the live vocals of Isol making every show as mesmerizing and haunting as their studio record.
Always keeping a busy schedule Entre Rios previously played the Lemon
Pop festival, During this stay, they also recorded TVE2’s Radio3 concerts
(broadcasted on October 1st) and Telemadrid’s La Otra Unplugged. They also played gigs
at the premiere parties of the Elefant MODAPOP compilation, at Madrid’s
Clamore sClub and Barcelona’s Mond Club along with NIZA, LA CASA AZUL, CAMERA
OBSCURA and LES TRÈS BIEN ENSEMBLE. And so sit back, relax, and let the
ethereal sounds of entre rios wash over you. One to hear.
