"Life, Death, and Giants, Emily your words are clear to me, the
smallest things I never saw, I see them for what they are in a world so
much bigger than me", and so these words became the lyrics to the self
titled song, written by lead singer, Chaz Ross, of the band Life, Death
and Giants, who was inspired by an Emily Dickinson poem. This song
would go on to set the tone for LDG's self titled album composed of
placement friendly as well as radio friendly songs.
Formed in 2002, LDG'S power pop rock songs have already been placed in
several T.V shows including the W.B's Summerland, Felicity, the movie
trailer to "Raising Helen" and the full length feature film "Hit or
Miss". What makes LDG so appealing to music supervisors is their
strong lyrics and poignant songs that connect with the listener.
Lead by Northern California based singer, Chaz Ross ( lead vocals,
guitar, and piano) who has played with Bad English, Big Bad Voo Doo
Daddy, The Beach Boys; Chaz is supported by Australian born, TROY
MACCUBBIN (guitar & vocals) who played for Tatu, Kelly Clarkson and the
Beach Boys; and German born SVEN MARTIN (keyboards, engineer & vocals),
who recently came off a tour with Liz Phair and has previously played
with Big, Bad Voodoo Daddy, Enrique Inglesias, and Monster Magnet.
LDG is truly an indie band, with all three members conceiving of,
writing, recording, and producing all their material. The proof of
their musicianship and song writing abilities can be heard in their
music which deals with a variety of subjects from love, reaching for
your dreams, to coping with day to day life experiences; all while
having a placement friendly quality to them. Together as a band, Chaz,
Troy, and Sven are unforgettable and together they say it all quite
well as members of " Life, Death & Giants"
